King Gwangjong
King Gwangjong was the fourth ruler of the Goryeo Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 949 to 975. He is known for consolidating power and strengthening the central government. Gwangjong implemented various reforms, including the establishment of a civil service examination system, which aimed to promote meritocracy in government positions.
During his reign, Gwangjong also worked to expand the territory of Goryeo and improve relations with neighboring states.
