King Ferdinand IV
King Ferdinand IV was a monarch who ruled over the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily during the 18th century. Born in 1751, he became king in 1759 after the death of his father, Charles III of Spain. His reign was marked by political instability and the influence of foreign powers, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars.
Ferdinand IV faced challenges from both internal factions and external threats, leading to his temporary exile in 1799. He returned to the throne in 1806 but was ultimately deposed in 1815. His reign ended with the restoration of the Bourbon dynasty, which had significant implications for Italian history.
