King Cetshwayo
King Cetshwayo was the leader of the Zulu Kingdom in the 19th century. He became king in 1873 and is best known for his role in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, where he led his people against British colonial forces. Cetshwayo was a skilled military strategist and is remembered for his efforts to maintain Zulu independence.
After the war, Cetshwayo was captured and exiled by the British. He was restored to the throne in 1883 but faced ongoing challenges from colonial powers. His reign marked a significant period in South African history, highlighting the struggles between indigenous kingdoms and European colonization.
