Kicking Horse Pass
Kicking Horse Pass is a mountain pass located in the Canadian Rockies, within Yoho National Park in British Columbia. It connects the towns of Golden and Field and is part of the historic Trans-Canada Highway. The pass is known for its stunning views, steep terrain, and rich natural history.
The pass was named after the incident involving Kicking Horse, a horse that kicked a member of the Canadian Pacific Railway survey team in 1884. It reaches an elevation of 1,632 meters (5,354 feet) and is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing.
