Khowar Language
Khowar is an Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken in the Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It serves as the primary language for the Khowar people and is an important part of their cultural identity. The language has several dialects and is known for its rich oral traditions, including poetry and storytelling.
The Khowar language uses a modified version of the Perso-Arabic script for writing. It has borrowed vocabulary from languages such as Persian, Arabic, and Urdu, reflecting the region's diverse cultural influences. Efforts are ongoing to promote and preserve Khowar, especially among younger generations.
