Khoe Languages
The Khoe languages are a group of languages spoken primarily in southern Africa, particularly in regions of Botswana, Namibia, and parts of South Africa. These languages are part of the larger Khoe-Kwadi language family and are known for their unique click consonants, which are a distinctive feature not found in many other languages worldwide.
Khoe languages include several dialects, with Khoekhoe being one of the most well-known. Historically, these languages were spoken by the Khoisan people, who are among the region's earliest inhabitants. Today, efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize these languages, as they face challenges from dominant languages in the area.
