Khanda
The Khanda is a symbol of the Sikh faith, representing the belief in one God and the importance of spiritual and temporal authority. It consists of a double-edged sword in the center, flanked by a circular emblem called the Chakra, and two single-edged swords, known as Kirpans, on either side. The double-edged sword signifies the dual nature of reality, while the Chakra represents the unity of God.
The Khanda is often displayed in Gurdwaras, Sikh places of worship, and is used in various religious ceremonies. It serves as a reminder of the values of courage, justice, and the commitment to defend righteousness. The symbol is also featured on the Nishan Sahib, the Sikh flag, which further emphasizes its significance in Sikh identity.
