Khalkha
Khalkha is the largest ethnic group in Mongolia, making up about 80% of the population. They primarily speak the Khalkha Mongolian language, which is the official language of Mongolia. The Khalkha people have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and crafts.
The Khalkha region is known for its vast steppes and nomadic lifestyle. Many Khalkha families still practice herding, raising livestock such as sheep, goats, and horses. Their traditional dwelling, the ger or yurt, is designed for easy transport and provides shelter in the harsh climate of the Mongolian landscape.
