Khalid ibn al-Walid
Khalid ibn al-Walid was a prominent military commander during the early years of Islam. Born in 592 CE in the Quraysh tribe of Mecca, he initially opposed the Prophet Muhammad but later converted to Islam. Khalid earned the title "Sword of Allah" for his exceptional leadership in battles, including the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of Yarmouk.
His strategic skills and innovative tactics helped expand the Islamic state rapidly. Khalid played a crucial role in the early Muslim conquests, leading armies against the Byzantine and Sassanian empires. He is remembered as one of history's greatest military leaders.
