Khajuraho Temples
The Khajuraho Temples are a group of Hindu and Jain temples located in Madhya Pradesh, India. Built between 950 and 1050 AD during the rule of the Chandela dynasty, these temples are renowned for their intricate sculptures and architectural beauty. They showcase a variety of themes, including mythology, daily life, and erotic art, reflecting the cultural richness of the time.
Today, the Khajuraho Temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting tourists and scholars from around the world. The complex consists of around 25 temples, with the most famous being the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
