Keops
Keops, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is one of the most famous ancient structures in the world. Built around 2580–2560 BC during the reign of the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu, it is the largest of the three pyramids located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. The pyramid originally stood at 146.6 meters (481 feet) tall and was constructed using approximately 2.3 million blocks of stone.
The Great Pyramid served as a tomb for Khufu and is part of a larger complex that includes smaller pyramids, temples, and the Sphinx. It is the only surviving structure of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, showcasing the advanced engineering and architectural skills of ancient Egyptians.
