Kenya Ports Authority
The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) is a government agency responsible for managing and operating the ports in Kenya. Established in 1978, its main role is to facilitate maritime trade and ensure efficient cargo handling at the ports, particularly at the Port of Mombasa, which is the largest and busiest port in East Africa.
KPA oversees various activities, including the maintenance of port infrastructure, security, and the provision of services to shipping lines and cargo owners. By enhancing port operations, KPA plays a crucial role in supporting the country's economy and promoting regional trade within the East African Community.
