Katori-class
The Katori-class is a series of training ships used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). Designed for naval training, these ships help prepare personnel for various maritime operations. The class includes several vessels, each equipped with modern navigation and communication systems.
These ships are named after the Katori Shrine, which is one of the oldest shrines in Japan. The Katori-class vessels serve as platforms for cadets to learn essential skills, including seamanship and ship handling, while also participating in joint exercises with other naval forces.
