Katie Geneva Cannon
Katie Geneva Cannon was an influential African American theologian and a pioneer in the field of womanist theology. Born on February 10, 1949, she was the first African American woman to be ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Cannon dedicated her life to exploring the intersections of race, gender, and faith, advocating for social justice and equality.
