Kashubian people
The Kashubian people are a West Slavic ethnic group primarily located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland. They have their own distinct language, known as Kashubian, which is recognized as a regional language. The Kashubians have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and crafts that reflect their unique identity.
Historically, the Kashubians have faced challenges in preserving their language and culture, especially during periods of foreign rule. Today, efforts are being made to promote Kashubian culture through education and community initiatives, helping to ensure that their traditions continue to thrive in modern society.
