Karymsky
Karymsky is an active stratovolcano located on the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. It rises to an elevation of 1,486 meters (4,875 feet) and is part of the Karymsky Volcanic Group. The volcano has a conical shape and is characterized by its frequent eruptions, which have been recorded since the 18th century.
The most recent significant eruption occurred in 2017, producing ash plumes that reached several kilometers into the atmosphere. Karymsky is closely monitored by the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team due to its potential impact on air travel and nearby communities.
