Karnak Temple Complex
The Karnak Temple Complex is one of the largest religious sites in the world, located in Luxor, Egypt. It was primarily dedicated to the Theban triad of gods: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued for over 2,000 years, resulting in a vast array of temples, chapels, and pylons.
The complex features the impressive Great Hypostyle Hall, which contains 134 massive columns, and the Sacred Lake, used for purification rituals. Visitors can explore the intricate hieroglyphics and towering statues that reflect the grandeur of ancient Egyptian architecture and religious practices.
