Karen People
The Karen People, also known as the Kayin or Karenni, are an ethnic group primarily found in Myanmar and Thailand. They belong to the larger group of Tibeto-Burman languages and are known for their distinct cultural practices, traditional clothing, and unique languages, including S'gaw and Pwo.
Many Karen people have faced challenges due to political conflicts in Myanmar, leading to displacement and migration. As a result, significant Karen communities exist in refugee camps and urban areas in Thailand and other countries, where they strive to preserve their cultural identity while adapting to new environments.
