Karahunj
Karahunj, also known as the "Armenian Stonehenge," is an ancient archaeological site located in Armenia. It features a collection of large standing stones, some of which have holes drilled into them. These stones are believed to date back to around 3,500 BC, making them one of the oldest known observatories in the world.
The site is situated near the village of Zorats Karer and is thought to have been used for astronomical observations. Researchers suggest that the arrangement of the stones may have been aligned with celestial events, indicating the importance of astronomy in ancient Armenian culture.
