Kansas City Athletics
The Kansas City Athletics were a professional baseball team that played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1955 to 1967. They were originally established in Philadelphia in 1901 as the Philadelphia Athletics before relocating to Kansas City. The team played its home games at Municipal Stadium and was part of the American League.
During their time in Kansas City, the Athletics struggled to find consistent success, finishing near the bottom of the standings in most seasons. In 1968, the franchise moved to Oakland, California, becoming the Oakland Athletics, where they achieved greater success, including multiple World Series championships.
