K-type Star
A K-type star is a type of star that falls within the spectral classification system. These stars are cooler than G-type stars like our Sun, with surface temperatures ranging from about 3,900 to 5,200 Kelvin. They emit a warm orange or red light and are often found in various stages of their life cycle, including main sequence and giant phases.
K-type stars are known for their longevity, often burning for billions of years. They are common in the universe and can host exoplanets, making them interesting targets for the search for extraterrestrial life. Their stable environments may provide suitable conditions for life to develop.
