K-Type Stars
K-Type stars are a category of stars that fall between M-Type stars and G-Type stars on the stellar classification scale. They are characterized by their orange hue and moderate temperatures, typically ranging from about 3,900 to 5,200 Kelvin. K-Type stars are often seen as stable and long-lived, making them interesting targets for the search for extraterrestrial life.
These stars are usually smaller than G-Type stars like our Sun but larger than M-Type stars. K-Type stars can host planetary systems, and some of them are known to have habitable zones where conditions might support liquid water. Their longevity allows for the potential development of life on orbiting planets.
