K-24 Submarine
The K-24 submarine is a Russian Project 667A nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine. Launched in 1972, it was designed to carry and launch R-29 missiles, which are capable of striking distant targets. The submarine is part of the Soviet Union's strategic nuclear deterrent fleet.
K-24 was notable for its advanced technology at the time, including a double-hull design for improved safety and stealth. It served in the Soviet Navy and later in the Russian Navy, contributing to underwater warfare capabilities until its decommissioning in the early 2000s.
