K League 2
K League 2 is the second tier of professional football in South Korea, operating under the K League system. Established in 2013, it features clubs that compete for promotion to the top division, K League 1. The league typically consists of 10 to 12 teams, playing a regular season followed by a promotion playoff.
The season usually runs from March to November, with each team playing home and away matches. The top teams at the end of the season have the chance to move up to K League 1, while the lower-ranked teams may face relegation to the third tier, K League 3.
