K Dwarfs
K Dwarfs are a type of star characterized by their relatively low temperature and luminosity. They belong to the spectral class K, which indicates they have a surface temperature between 3,900 and 5,200 Kelvin. These stars are often orange in color and are cooler than the more common G dwarfs, like our Sun.
K Dwarfs are typically smaller and less massive than G dwarfs and F dwarfs. They can have lifespans of several billion years, making them stable and long-lived. Many K Dwarfs are found in binary systems, and they can host planets, making them of interest in the search for extraterrestrial life.
