Kākā
The Kākā is a large, flightless parrot native to New Zealand. Known for its striking green and yellow plumage, it has a strong, curved beak that helps it feed on fruits, seeds, and nuts. Kākās are social birds, often found in pairs or small groups, and are known for their playful behavior.
These birds are part of the Nestor genus, which also includes the Kea, another well-known New Zealand parrot. Kākās are primarily found in forested areas and are important for seed dispersal, contributing to the health of their ecosystem. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their populations from habitat loss and predators.
