The Jutes were a Germanic tribe that inhabited parts of what is now Denmark and northern Germany. They are known for migrating to Britain during the early Middle Ages, around the 5th century. Along with the Angles and Saxons, the Jutes played a significant role in the early formation of English culture and society. In Britain, the Jutes settled primarily in the regions of Kent and the Isle of Wight. They established several kingdoms and contributed to the development of the Old English language.
