Juicy Salif
The Juicy Salif is a citrus juicer designed by the Italian industrial designer Philippe Starck in 1990. Its unique, sculptural shape resembles a squid or an alien creature, making it a striking piece of kitchenware. Made from aluminum, it is both functional and a conversation starter, often considered a work of art.
While the Juicy Salif is visually appealing, it is not the most practical juicer. Its design prioritizes aesthetics over efficiency, as it lacks a container to catch juice. Despite this, it remains popular among design enthusiasts and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
