Juan Nakpil
Juan Nakpil was a prominent Filipino architect, known for his significant contributions to Philippine architecture during the 20th century. Born on March 5, 1899, he played a crucial role in the development of modern architecture in the Philippines, blending traditional styles with contemporary design. His works include the iconic Philippine Institute of Architects building and the Quezon Memorial Circle.
In addition to his architectural achievements, Nakpil was also an educator and served as a professor at the University of the Philippines. He was recognized for his dedication to promoting Filipino culture through architecture and was awarded the title of National Artist for Architecture in 1973.
