Jovenel Moïse
Jovenel Moïse was a Haitian politician and businessman who served as the President of Haiti from February 2017 until his assassination in July 2021. He was born on June 26, 1969, in the northern town of Trou-du-Nord. Before entering politics, Moïse was involved in the agricultural sector and owned a banana export business.
During his presidency, Moïse faced numerous challenges, including political instability, economic difficulties, and widespread protests against his administration. His tenure was marked by controversies over governance and allegations of corruption. His assassination on July 7, 2021, further deepened the political crisis in Haiti.
