Joseph Wright
Joseph Wright was an English painter born in 1734, known for his dramatic use of light and shadow, a technique called chiaroscuro. He often depicted scenes of scientific discovery and the Industrial Revolution, reflecting the Enlightenment's fascination with knowledge and progress. His works include famous paintings like An Experiment on a Bird in the Air Pump and The Alchemist in Search of the Philosopher's Stone.
