Ossoff gained national attention during the 2020 election cycle when he ran for the Senate and won a runoff election in January 2021, becoming the youngest sitting senator at that time. Before his political career, Ossoff worked as a documentary filmmaker and served as a congressional aide. He graduated from Georgetown University and later earned a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
