John Von Neumann
John Von Neumann was a Hungarian-American mathematician, physicist, and computer scientist, born in 1903. He made significant contributions to various fields, including game theory, quantum mechanics, and functional analysis. His work laid the foundation for modern computing and he was instrumental in developing the ENIAC, one of the first electronic computers.
Von Neumann was also a key figure in the Manhattan Project, which developed the first atomic bomb during World War II. He is known for the Von Neumann architecture, a design model for computer systems that describes how a computer's memory and processing units interact. His influence continues to shape technology today.
