John Nevill, 5th Baron Nevill
John Nevill, 5th Baron Nevill, was an English nobleman born around 1430. He was part of the prominent Nevill family and held the title of Baron Nevill after succeeding his father, Ralph Nevill, 4th Baron Nevill. John played a significant role during the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne.
He was known for his military involvement, particularly in battles such as Towton in 1461. John Nevill's life was marked by the political turmoil of his time, and he was ultimately killed at the Battle of Hexham in 1464, which was a decisive conflict in the Yorkist victory.
