John Jellicoe
John Jellicoe was a British naval officer born on December 5, 1859. He is best known for his role as the commander of the Royal Navy during the Battle of Jutland in 1916, which was the largest naval battle of World War I. Jellicoe's leadership and strategic decisions during the battle have been both praised and criticized by historians.
After the war, Jellicoe served in various positions, including as the Governor-General of New Zealand from 1920 to 1924. He was promoted to Admiral and continued to influence naval policy until his retirement. Jellicoe passed away on November 20, 1935.
