John Hart
John Hart was an American politician and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Born in 1711 in Connecticut, he played a significant role in the early governance of the American colonies. Hart served as the governor of New Jersey and was a prominent figure in the fight for independence from British rule.
In addition to his political contributions, Hart was a successful farmer and businessman. He faced personal hardships during the Revolutionary War, including the loss of his home and property. Despite these challenges, he remained committed to the cause of independence until his death in 1779.
