John Fru Ndi
John Fru Ndi is a prominent Cameroonian politician and the leader of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), a major opposition party in Cameroon. He was born on July 18, 1951, in the North West Region of Cameroon. Fru Ndi gained recognition for his role in advocating for democracy and political reforms in the country, especially during the early 1990s when Cameroon transitioned from a one-party system to a multi-party democracy.
Fru Ndi first ran for the presidency in 1992, where he emerged as a significant challenger to the long-standing rule of Paul Biya, the incumbent president. Despite facing political challenges and government repression, he has remained a key figure in Cameroonian politics, promoting issues such as human rights, good governance, and national unity.
