Paul Biya
Paul Biya is a Cameroonian politician who has served as the President of Cameroon since November 6, 1982. He is one of the longest-serving leaders in Africa, having held power for over four decades. Biya was born on February 13, 1933, in Mvomeka'a, a village in the South Region of Cameroon. He studied law and political science in France before returning to Cameroon to begin his political career.
During his presidency, Biya has faced various challenges, including economic issues and political unrest. His government has been criticized for human rights abuses and a lack of political pluralism. Despite this, he has maintained a strong grip on power through a combination of political maneuvering and state control.
