John Flynn (Missionary)
John Flynn was an Australian missionary and the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, established in 1928. He aimed to provide medical care to people living in remote areas of Australia, where access to healthcare was limited. Flynn's vision was to use aircraft to deliver essential medical services, ensuring that even the most isolated communities received the help they needed.
Flynn was also a key figure in the development of the Australian Inland Mission, which sought to address the spiritual and physical needs of people in the outback. His work significantly improved healthcare access and inspired future generations of missionaries and healthcare workers in rural areas.
