John Fahey
John Fahey was an American fingerstyle guitarist and composer, known for his unique blend of folk, blues, and classical music. Born on February 28, 1939, in Takoma Park, Maryland, he became a prominent figure in the American primitive guitar movement. Fahey's innovative playing style and complex compositions earned him a dedicated following and influenced many musicians.
In addition to his guitar work, Fahey was also a record producer and founded the label Takoma Records. He released numerous albums throughout his career, with notable works including Blind Joe Death and The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death.
