Bert Jansch
Bert Jansch was a Scottish folk musician and songwriter, born on November 3, 1943, in Glasgow. He became known for his intricate guitar playing and unique vocal style, which helped shape the British folk music scene in the 1960s. Jansch was a founding member of the influential band Pentangle, which blended folk, jazz, and blues elements.
Throughout his career, Jansch released numerous solo albums and collaborated with various artists, including Neil Young and Johnny Marr. His work has inspired many musicians, and he is often regarded as a key figure in the development of contemporary acoustic guitar music. Jansch passed away on October 5, 2011.
