John Beaufort
John Beaufort was an English nobleman born around 1404. He was the son of John Beaufort, 1st Duke of Somerset and Margaret Holland. John became the 1st Earl of Somerset in 1443 and played a significant role in the Hundred Years' War against France. He was known for his military leadership and was involved in various campaigns during this period.
In addition to his military career, John Beaufort was also a prominent figure in the Wars of the Roses. He was a member of the House of Lancaster and supported the claim of Henry VI to the throne. John Beaufort's legacy continued through his descendants, who remained influential in English history.
