Johann Strauss II, often referred to as the "Waltz King," was an Austrian composer born on October 25, 1825. He is best known for his beautiful waltzes, polkas, and operettas, which became popular in the 19th century. His most famous works include "The Blue Danube" and "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka," which are still celebrated today.
Strauss II was the son of Johann Strauss I, also a composer, and he initially faced resistance from his father regarding his musical ambitions. Despite this, he achieved great success and became a leading figure in the Viennese music scene, contributing significantly to the development of light classical music until his death in 1899.
