Johann Georg I of Saxe-Weissenfels
Johann Georg I of Saxe-Weissenfels was a German nobleman born on March 6, 1641. He became the Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels in 1680, a small duchy in the Holy Roman Empire. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen the duchy's economy and infrastructure, as well as fostering cultural development.
He was the son of Johann Georg I of Saxe and Anna Maria of Saxe, and he belonged to the House of Wettin. Johann Georg I ruled until his death on April 19, 1698, leaving behind a legacy of stability and growth in his duchy.
