Joan of Navarre
Joan of Navarre was a queen consort of England, born around 1363 in Navarre. She was the daughter of King Charles II of Navarre and married Henry IV of England in 1403. Their union strengthened ties between England and Navarre, and Joan became known for her intelligence and political acumen.
Joan's life was marked by challenges, including the political turmoil of the Hundred Years' War. After Henry's death in 1413, she faced accusations of witchcraft, which led to her imprisonment. Despite these hardships, Joan remained a significant figure in English history until her death in 1437.
