Jimsonweed
Jimsonweed, also known as Datura stramonium, is a flowering plant native to North America. It belongs to the nightshade family and is characterized by its large, trumpet-shaped flowers, which can be white, purple, or yellow. The plant typically grows in disturbed areas, such as roadsides and fields, and can reach heights of up to 1.2 meters (4 feet).
All parts of Jimsonweed contain toxic alkaloids, making it potentially dangerous if ingested. Symptoms of poisoning can include hallucinations, confusion, and increased heart rate. Due to its toxicity, it is important to handle the plant with care and keep it away from children and pets.
