Jewish Fighting Organization
The Jewish Fighting Organization (JFO), known in Polish as the Żydowska Organizacja Bojowa, was a Jewish paramilitary group formed in 1942 in the Warsaw Ghetto. It aimed to resist the Nazi regime during the Holocaust, particularly in response to the mass deportations of Jews to extermination camps.
The JFO played a significant role in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 1943, where they fought against German forces for nearly a month. Despite being heavily outnumbered and outgunned, their resistance became a symbol of Jewish courage and defiance against oppression during World War II.
