Jerome Powell
Jerome Powell is the current Chair of the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States. He was appointed to this position in February 2018 and is responsible for overseeing monetary policy, which includes managing interest rates and regulating the banking system. Powell has a background in economics and finance, having previously worked as a lawyer and investment banker.
Before becoming Chair, Powell served as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors since 2012.
