Jawor wooden church
The Jawor wooden church, officially known as the Church of Peace in Jawor, is a remarkable example of wooden architecture located in Poland. Built in the 17th century, it is one of the largest wooden churches in Europe and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The church showcases a unique blend of Gothic and Baroque styles, featuring intricate wooden carvings and beautiful frescoes.
Constructed primarily from wood, the church was built using traditional techniques without the use of nails. It serves as a testament to the craftsmanship of the Silesian region and reflects the cultural and religious history of the Lutheran community in Poland.
