Javanese Script
Javanese Script is a writing system used for the Javanese language, primarily spoken on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is an abugida, meaning each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound that can be modified with diacritics. The script has its roots in the ancient Brahmi script and has evolved over centuries.
The Javanese script consists of 20 basic characters, along with additional characters for vowels and punctuation. It is used in various contexts, including literature, education, and cultural expressions. Despite the influence of the Latin alphabet, efforts are being made to preserve and promote the use of Javanese script in modern times.
